I made plans to go to dinner with Tricia after I went to the Keystone meeting, which started at 6p. She said to meet her at our main office, when I was finished.
I went to the Keystone meeting, and left around 6:45p. So, I decided to call Tricia at work to let her know I was on my way, because the meeting did go a little longer than expected. I went to call her and my cell phone was dead, but then I remembered, that she dropped her work cell phone in my car, so I looked for it, and found it. Called her office and her voice mail came on, so I thought maybe she was on the other line...I left her a message.
I arrived to the main office, and Tricia's car is not there. I'm thinking she either went to the downtown office or went home. Meanwhile I'm looking through her work phone, trying to see if she has her personal cell number in it...no such luck! I went to downtown campus and she wasn't there either. I'm thinking shoot, what am I going to do. I decide to drive to her house, and hopefully she would be there. Again, no such luck! I tried to call a mutual friend of ours, but I couldn't get a hold of her. I did check my messages, seeing if Tricia left a message, not that it would of done any good, because like she pointed out, she wouldn't of left her number. I'm driving around Westminster, and see a Starbucks, oh I can plug my phone in. They had no available outlets. Then I see a Sprint store across the way, and try to buy a car phone charger, because I have T-Mobile I don't think they wanted to sell me the charger...whatever!
I decide to drive by Tricia's one last time, and again no, she wasn't home...so I thought, well, I might as well go home. As I was driving, I looked at her phone through the missed calls and realized, she called the work phone from her personal phone, so I called her. That's my story. Finally after 1.5 hours we meet up for dinner. In the end, it worked out, and that's really all that matters.
Moral of the story?
1. Keep you phone charged
and
2. Stay in one place when you are lost, just like what you learned in Girl Scouts when you were 8 years old. (just helps to know you ARE lost!)
