Life...

We have all heard the phrase “Life’s not fair”. When is life not fair? Is it when you have a bad day, or when you get fired from your job, or overdrawing your account, or not being able to make the house payment, or you have to clean the house and sibling can go out and play, or is it plain and simple, when things don’t go the way you want them to go?
We all go through stumbling blocks in life, and somehow manage to muddle through it. In a funny way it is a learning process, and we grow from our experiences. Life deals crappy hands to some, and some just have it made. Why isn’t it spread fairly amongst everyone?
I received some pretty crappy news this week. One of our members parent has cancer and it’s pretty bad to the point where the doctors only gave this parent six months to a year to live. I thought the phrase "six months to a year" was only soap opera talk, or movie talk…guess not cause this real. This family has already been through a lot and to have to deal with another situation it just doesn’t seem fair.
It makes you stop and take a look at your life and realize it’s not bad at all. I’m so thankful for everything I have. I really can’t complain about my life. During this holiday season don’t forget to take a look around and be thankful for what you have, because one day you may not have it.
