More time, more story

So here is an email that I sent to Heidi for the program they are having at the club titled "Where in the World is Tricia."

How was your flight...how long was your flight?

the flight was loooooong, but not too long. i think i had a worse flight coming across the states with the layover in Atlanta, GA. the flight from boston took only about 6 hours. i think linds has a 12 hour flight back to LA from dublin when she leaves in december... poor thing!

What cities or towns or villages have you visited??

we flew into shannon and headed south west. we stopped very quickly in limmerick where i got a lame picture of the city because i had to take it from the bus stop. from there we headed to dingle to see fungi, the magical dolphin... yah, i know. linds calls hom the national icon. we took a boat out and actually saw him do tricks and swim with the boat. yah, i have to admitt, it was kinds cute. he was just so friendly. hes been swimming for over 20 years there! from there we headed to killarney and saw the national park and the ring of kerry. it was pretty out there. the hsotile we stayed at was huge and full of people, even the english roommates that we had beck in dingle! ah... the cute english boy... anyway, from there we headed to cork... not such the best idea to head there on this weekend. one it is a bank holiday, kinda like our labor day? everyone is out and about, two it was the jazz festival and attracts 40,000 people into town, and third, we didnt have a reservation! so we ended up jumping back on the bus to galway to lindsey's flat. she has a really nice place. too cute, youd like it!

What is your means of transportation??

means of transportation have been buses. they are the natioally run buses, but are like greyhound buses. very nice. we always try to sit in the last row where there are five seats in a row and we can all be together. the only other vechicale i have been on was that boat to see the dolphin. havent had to be carried out of a pub or anything... yet.

How's the weather??

the weather has been very nice. i think it has only rained once since we have been here and we were on a bus, so we missed being out in it. this last weekend though there were huge storms in dublin. the temperature i would have to guess has been in the 50-60s. we can see our breathe and were a few layers of clothing, but nothing too bad to say the least.

What kind of animals are in Ireland?

oh baby, the wild life consists of sheep, cows, random dogs that follow you into the bus station (you have to tell them to find another stupid american because im not going to give it food), some cats (one VERY cute kitten that we named sage and almost took home as our personal suviner, lots of birds (dont know what exactly, and deer which we havent seen as of yet.

What is the primary language??

everyone that we have ran into has spoken english with an irish accent. too cute when you hear the 6 year olds talking! I want one of those too! they do also speak gaelic which they call irish.
