Kids Today

Sometimes it really is hard to tell if as you get older things just aren't as impressive, you have much higher standards, or this world and the people in it are truely declining with each day.

I know we have all heard that when you are little your cup is smaller and easier to fill and as you get older your cup is a whole lot bigger and it takes more... but at times I catch myself wondering... "what is up with the kids today." Then I pause and almost coke because it makes me sound like I'm 47.

I think I say this because I went to an event for this organization I was extremely involved with growing up (IORG). Everything looked a little, ok a whole lot less impressive. The leadership has changed hands and the younger girls are now the older girls running things and I have to think to myself that it is getting run into the ground. At work there are a few 10 year olds that I can see doing very well in the organization, but I somehow completely hesitate even talking about it anymore. I think mainly because I know that they will go to Garden Grove Assembly, and it is totally lacking history and real leadership. I know I should get back involved and try to make something of it, but I don't.

I keep talking that I want my own Girl Scout troop. But who knows where my life is leading and if I would end up abandoning the kids in the next few years. Just my rambling thoughts today. What do you all think of the kids today?
