Ahh the age old question. I kinda fell into a career which was kinda (un)lucky.

You have to do what makes you happy. Believe me, there is nothing worse than waking up late and thinking "Ugh...I'm late...I'm late for what I hate." Worst feeling in the world.

just think about what you would do if you could do anything (money is not and issue) and do it.. if there is a will there is a way. you can run away to england like i did :)

I personally think you should join me and get a job in education...maybe we can open our own after school program =o)

well let's see... i think that i would just travel the world and be a bum if i could have it my way... see everything i can and meet a ton of people. possibly do it with loved ones. run away to england? well you had something to run too!

education crysleanntal? *sigh* i dont know... mentoring program would be cool and i would love summers off, but it wont really pay for me to travel around the world! :o)

i sort of agree with crystal. and i disagree that it wouldn't pay for around the world. it may not pay for a house and summer travel, but if you wait to do those adult sort of things for a while, you can travel.

michael's friend clemmie goes somewhere quite exotic every year, and did even before she made the big bucks in pharmacy.

The sooner you get a house, the sooner you build equity, the sooner you can pull that money out and pay for travel.

I think you should marry an englishman, move to san francisco, get thre cats and work at an airport.

yah i'll work on that one dee... only problem is the only englishman that i know that is available is in London at the moment and is a "free sprit."

i dont think ill be buying my own house anytime soon either Alex... i cant even afford my own apartment! :o)

hey, i think you're the coolest and should do whatever makes you happy. just think of it this way... worst comes to worst, you can always get a job being someone's hero :)

i think you should just go shopping and all your worries will go away. buy some comfy new socks or something. i also think the cruise line thing would be fun, even if it's a short summer job. you would be able to travel and do something fun while your still young. plus, some fun stories start with "well when i worked on a cruise ship..."

Took the advise, do something that makes you happy. But sometimes if you take something you love and turn it into something that you do for a living... you might start to hate it. So i wouldn't do the very most important thing you love, do the second and keep that thing that you love to do special and a sort of get away from life type of thing. If that makes any sense at all. Which i'm sure it doesn't cause when i ramble it just turns into one big blur.

no no... i totally understand what you are trying to say tammy! makes a lot of sense... i think i just need to make a checklist of things i like, but i really dont think i can make a career out of frisbee, beating up on my friends, or driving golf carts!

triscuit, honey, when you figure it out let me know, ok? My current plan of working my ass off all the time isn't super duper fun. my feet hurt, my hair looks like hell, and i can't remember the last time i wore anything but blue scrubs and nikes. suddenly emigating to new zealand is looking pretty damn good. maybe you could marry a hobbit?
