I need out... can't believe it but already less than 48 hours and my mom has thrown a temper tantrum. Yes and I do mean a tantrum. She gets mad and walks out of the room and slams the door to her room. I'm just the ungrateful child.
Our communication is just plain awful. I don't think she realizes that after I get home from work in the morning I just want to be left alone. I just had to answer 800 questions from kids and them pulling me in every direction, I don't need one more on my back when I walk in the door. So of course, we fight. I most likely don't communicate with her in a positive manner either. It just gets so tiresome having to pretend to be chipper and interested in some of her things when she catches me at the worst time ever. Well that and, I don't think it's actually a good idea to say blah blah blah to my mom anymore. I had just better keep that one in my head.
It's all about diplomacy.
elasticsof: as Wynn Catlin once said, Diplomacy is the art of saying "nice doggie" until you can find a rock.
Posted by tricia at March 1, 2004 11:18 AMha... yeah, the blah blah blah thing might not be working in that situation
Posted by: joanna at March 1, 2004 05:07 PMYeah...to quote yet another obscure cliche...don't bite the hand that feeds you.
Posted by: Hank at March 1, 2004 05:38 PMand a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, and don't cry over spilled milk,and...a rolling stone gathers n..... k i'll shut up.
pssst.... move out :) your parental relations will improve ten fold.
It works better if you're not 24 and still living at home....get a life and move out of your freaking parents' house, loser. And speaking of being a loser, get some friends your own age.
Posted by: Anonymous at March 8, 2004 07:35 AMHilarious... absolutely hilarious... you made my day "anonymous." Don't be jealous because I'm friends with Joanna. I have friends my own age. When you learn how to be a better friend to those around you *hint*hint* then maybe you can open your mind too. Everyone teaches you something, whether it's the old man or the young child. Until then, stay off my site, "find blogs your own age." Nothing is completely anonymous these days... when will you kids learn?
Posted by: tricia at March 8, 2004 10:25 AMYour cryptic messages are cute, but not very enlightening....kind of like your journal entries. If you know who I am, I find it odd that you didn't call me out. I guess that's what comes with hanging around too many high school kids.
