Well each day new opportunities arise right? And of course they all hit on the same day. So I'm taking a little poll (right Deanne?). Career wise only, should you follow your head or your heart? Do you do what's best for you in the long run and take a chance, or do you do what you know you will love? Essentially, do I stay where I'm at and try to move up in the company, or do i go back to camp? No bias opinions here! Try to be objective. :o)
Sadly these days, you need to do what pays the bills. If you love what you do, you're a very rare and lucky person.
Posted by: Alex at March 10, 2004 02:34 PMi can understand why you love it so much. camp is far removed from the real world. Everybody stands around hugging and singing all day long. I wish life really could be about secret pals and strangely delicious corn dogs. but it's not. just like it's not about stated meeting dinners and puffy-painted jackets. sometimes you gotta move on.
Posted by: Jamie at March 11, 2004 12:15 PMWell done Jamie, I couldn't have put it better.
Posted by: Alex at March 11, 2004 01:20 PMI found this somewhere on the web and thought it suits the situation and perhaps help you in your search.

BTW... Hi! I came across your website while I was searching the web for something and I couldn't resist the chance to see how you are doing! Funny how this web thing works, isn't it?
Posted by: Lindsay at March 12, 2004 09:46 AMLet's just say I'm updating my resume...
Oh and BTW Lindsay, HI to you too! :o)
Posted by: tricia at March 12, 2004 01:09 PMOh, and guess who looked me up on Classmates? Deana Melendy! :o) I swear, you all just pop up into my life again all at once!
Posted by: tricia at March 12, 2004 01:19 PMIt's crazy, isn't it? How is Deana doing, anyway. Oh, and thanks a bunch for putting up those oh-so attractive pictures! I forgot how freaking scary we were back then! Yikes!
Posted by: Lindsay at March 12, 2004 02:00 PMno kidding! I'll forward you the Deana emails... you should drop her a line too! :o)
Posted by: tricia at March 14, 2004 07:44 PMThat'd be great. :-)
Posted by: Lindsay at March 15, 2004 08:28 AMFlip a coin. :-) I'm biased of course, but come to camp! Sadly though, I guess most camp people know that their time at camp is limited, and eventually "real jobs" will probably have to be found. Or, just become camp director, and I'll be your assistant!
