Sail Away

Well today I got out of my bio-dome and went sailing with my sister, brother-in-law Michael, Rocket, and Jabby. It was a lot of fun and pretty spur of the moment. I just IMed Jabbs and asked her if she wanted to go sailing and she left Pasadena within like 15 minutes to come out to Newport. Same thing with Rocket too, but they both made it out. There wasn't much wind at all, but we made due.

I haven't acted that silly in a really long time. It was good times. We sailed in the harbor at sunset and it was really pretty. Then we docked and walked to the Old Spaghetti Factory for some dinner. I don't think we got seated until like 9pm. Dinner was interesting, I think the waiter thought I was nuts. For those of you that haven't been there, all the menu items are complete meals... beverage, salad, entree, and ice cream. He looked at me really funny when I asked if we could have the meal in any order we wanted. I just wanted my coffee last... guess I just could have asked him that. But who ever is up for it, one day I will eat salad, then ice cream, then spaghetti, finishing it all off with bread.

We got back on the sail boat like at 10:30 or 11pm and sailed back to the port. There wasn't much wind at first so Michael and I actually paddled out to catch some. A boat drove by and told us that we were real sailors. Oh yah. I think my favorite time to sail is at night. The harbor was pretty empty and it was just peaceful. Anyway, that's my story. If anyone ever wants to go sailing my sister and Michael are always looking for some passengers, and I'm always pretty good entertainment. Rocket and Jabby, we will have to go again soon when there's some more wind and we can go out to the ocean! Yay! And, I'll try not to keep you out too late next time. :o)

Keep your eye out for pictures soon... I can't find the camera cable, so I will have to take the memory card to work. :o) And Miss Virginia needs to use her film so she can get the dinner pictures up!
