Starring...

So a friend asked me this question and I thought it might be entertaining to answer. I know it's kind of dorky, but I'm answering it anyway and I challenge you all to do the same in my comment box!

"If Hollywood made a movie about you who would play you? What kind of genre would it be? What parts of your life would you include? Who in your life would you include in the movie and who would play them? How would it end?"

I would have to think that Jennifer Garner would play me. She can do the action adventure thing (Alias), the comedy thing (13 going on 30), and the sexy thing (Catch Me If You Can). She's got the girl next door look and doesn't come across dumb or slutty.

The genre would be... an adventure/comedy/romance? That's a hard one. Maybe something like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom or Romancing the Stone. Wait, both of those deal with dumb women scared of icky things. Man, how about... something like the Goonies! That would be tons of fun! A bunch a friends screwing around and getting rich in the end... ok, not really realistic since my parents aren't going to lose their house to some evil villain and I won't find a beaten mutated man locked to a chair. But hey, why not? How about this, it will be something you feel good when you walk away.

Parts of my life? I think it would be a total mix. I can split my life into sections, but oddly enough I don't think they all would blend well into a movie. So take back the mix thing. Let's include the last 3 years.

People... I would have one of those movies where there is a running plot, and every "extra" would be some sort of famous cameo! The whole time you watched the movie you would be waiting to see which famous person was going to be at the takeout window taking my order. As for people in my life... well, you all are way important to me, but Alex, you would be Matt Damon and there would have to be an appearance by Drew Barrymore and Julia Roberts. Oh, and my friend Beth, she would be Kim Cattrall because Beth's a ho and likes shoes.

The ending... hopefully it would surprise the hell out of everyone, but I know that's not too likely. I'm not a fan of change and decisions. I'm also a huge realist, so I know someone would give away the ending after opening night. No one would die and life would sorta keep going. Like how those movies end when you don't want them to and you just want to keep watching. Almost like you want them to be happy and follow them through kids and grandkids and death... well I hope you all want to be a part of my life that long, because I sure do want to stick around yours.
