Well Alex said if I got some pictures up on the site I might get some more traffic. I know how sexy my parents are, but here are some pictures of my sisters and my cousins this past Christmas.
I have almost all of my Ireland pictures up, but I'm still waiting on one last roll of film from New England. Long story...
ENJOY! :o)

Well it took forever and 8 million suggestions to just pick a place to go and have a really good salad tonight. I'm terrible with decisions and so is Crystal. Let's see... thanks go to Joanna, Robert, Maggie Kathy, Deanne, Tarah, my sister Nicole, Michael, and Marie... and mini thanks to those that I tried to ask but weren't around, Liz and Brandon. Yah... we need a little more decisive behavior.
Anyway, thanks to some online menu browsing we decided on TGI Friday's. It was pretty good. I got the Harvest Apple Salad and CJ had the Peacon-Crusted Chicken Salad. Both were tastey. I think we liked mine the best, but hers had cranberries which would have added perfection to mine. We also had a drink that cost as much as our meal! That's the one think I don't like about Friday's. But it was good just to be with Crystal. I think she's one of the few people in my life that just gets me and all of me.
Well... *sigh*, that and, mother f*cker... Do you all out there think that there are little signs that just lead up to things? Or events that occur in a certain order? Don't they say that deaths happen in 3s? I think I am a firm believer now. Not that there are any deaths or injuries... but Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday the same types of events or shared stories have been going on all around me, even today it came up in conversation and not 5 minutes later... If I'm being vague, I'm doing it on purpose. Just ask if you want to know more. I'm not sure if I'll share, but you can ask.
Joanna, I blame you and your reoccurring dreams about me... yes, Lenny's best friend got in a fight today.
See... I'm not the ONLY crazy driver in the family. Looks like I really am a chip off the old block!
But even through the crazy driving... they seem like they are having a good time, and my Aunt Karen too!
I want to play in a Hawaii waterfall too!

Well yesterday there were TONS of times I hugely wished I had a camera phone to capture what was around me.
The day started off with me picking up Brandon and heading out to Riverside to help my dearest Liz move from Redlands into her new place. We beat Liz to the new place so we decided to go and get something to eat. Well this is where the first adventure started. This might get me in a little bit of trouble so anyone who talks to mom and dad... ahem... Jenny, Nikki, and Michael... keep quiet! I took the truck out there... no big deal, my mom already expects it to come back without any gas and I think my dad filled it up right before they left because of that reason. Anyway, back to the story. As we were driving along looking for food I spotted a Taco Bell, good enough for a 11am breakfast right? Somehow I missed the right parking lot. I look back at the street and now there was a car accident right in the way of the right parking lot entrance. There was a little grass medium between the parking lot I was in and our destination. Well... that was the only thing standing between me and food.
I was actually on the phone as well with my cute Frogger. So from both sides I was getting a little egged on... just do it... you're in a truck. Well needless to say they won and i went over the two-foot grass strip. Well I don't think the guy at the paint store liked it very much because when I was maneuvering into the drive thru I could see him staring at me and yelling don't drive across the grass. Blah blah blah.
Anyway, we get in line and make fun of the guy in the accident because of his Pokemon/Digimon hairdo. God, I don't know which was worse, his hair or the car accident! It was great. The chick working the drive thru was scarily bubbly for the morning and I think was the whitest sounding person I have ever heard working at Taco Bell in my life. Well we get our food and start to head out, accident still blocking the road, no one wanting to let me out, and now the cops show up.
Hmmm... what's the paint guy walking over to the cops and pointing at me for? *Cough*crap*cough* Me desperately trying to merge into traffic halfway in the first lane... tap, tap, tap... "you need to backup and go talk to that guy about the damages you made to the grass!" $#@!(& I told you Brandon that they were coming for me! So I backup and go talk to the paint guy. "Man, I didn't think that they were going to pull you over." Yah thanks genius. So I stand there listening to the dude give me a lecture. I think he was like maybe 5 years older than me, lighting up a cigarette. Workin hard there dude. Well there might be a bill in the mail if I ran over the sprinklers. I think I'll take my chances. He got my plate, so it virtually sounds like more work than it would really be worth... But the best part... hahaha... as I was leaving what did I do? I backed up and put one back tire up a curb... me dying laughing, Brandon dying laughing, the paint guy shaking his head and laughing, and Frogger still on the phone laughing. It was classic!
Moving went pretty smoothly. Liz had Jorge, her sister Mel, her roommate Mel, Mel's boyfriends little brother and her boyfriend's best friend, and then me and Brandon. She had a U-Haul so we really only had to make one big trip for all the big stuff. I wasn't the only bad driver though. Jorge trying to get the U-Haul in the open space at the car port... I'm sure you can all guess what happened. As he was pulling forward to give him room so he could back into the other spot... BANG... he went too far forward and nailed the front carport... Liz yelling, "STOP!" He just forgot how high the U-Haul was. Then as he backed up... "dude Brandon, I don't think he's going to make it." "Sure he will." "Keep cranking it." CRASH... he took out MAJOR chunks of the top of the tile on the carport. It looked like we dropped 18 potted plants on the ground. Liz had enough of that and kicked him out of the truck and moved it herself. It was great.
Anyway, you had better live there for a long time Liz, because moving from the second floor to the third floor takes a lot of love!
I totally need a wingman! Hanging out with married couples isn't the best way to meet new people! Anyway... tomorrow getting up bright and early to help Liz move from Redlands to Riverside... thanks Brandon for "volunteering" to help!
I'm soooooooooo proud of my ACP! I got to drop by for the meet today! I watched Ashleigh's first 6 optional dives on the 1-Meter. Missed the last 4, but she's talented! And yes, I got a call from her and she won that event as well and by 17 points! Kick ass! So good job Pools! Champ on the 3-Meter and the 1-Meter!
Poulin Adds Another Win at SCIAC Championships...
Now THIS chick has waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on her hands...
But I am intrigued...
Well... not really, but that song came to mind. My parents are out of town for a bit and I think I'm going nuts. No real food in the house... I'm eating soup. :o( I also don't have any face to face conversations. Today one of those people taking survays called and I actually sat on the phone and answered all the questions! I'm so pathetic.
My kids are soooooooooooo cute! :o) I'd love them even if they robbed a bank and went to jail. Even then I would visit every Sunday!
I had a good time today girls, even though you all teamed up and picked on me! But I can take it... hope you can this summer Maggie Kathy when you are my camper again. MUAHAHAHAHA! Maven, you play one mean game of foosball. Awwww... and Zeto, I hope you are recovered from me pegging you in the face with your keys! I was just trying to show you how to do the blinking ring thing... yah... that's it! Jello, one word for you... AIRPLANE!
Piece of crap... so Jamie and I decide to ditch the GWA's reception today. I guess we weren't really feeling too into it, getting all dressed up and driving to LA to go to something that no one really cares if we are there or not. Well I just got a text from Liz saying that my Grandie is there. Yah, Miss Jennie Wenzel. I love this girl and it's a really long story of our relationship.
I was a state officer and she basically was the one right before me that took care of me and all that stuff. After Grand Assembly when I was appointed, I saw her once and didn't talk to the girl until like November. There were huge rumors going throughout the state about her. Anyway, long story short she came to my reception and I was totally enamored by her. (Yes, your hero has a hero too). I think GA my year my favorite moment was when we entered the arena floor and I looked over, still unsure if she was going to even be there, and saw her standing on top of a chair in a full body wave yelling my name.
So this was 1999, I don't know when the last time I saw her... but every RB event I go to I try to find someone in San Diego area to ask about her. There have been Jennie Wenzel sightings and dammit, I always seem to miss them! I'm totally kicking myself at the moment.
Well I tried to get Crystal to be a guest writer on this entry, but that was a no go. Last night was bunches of fun though. We started off not knowing what to do, as always... so we headed to Barnes and Noble over in Huntington Beach. Boy were we in for a surprise. When we showed up the Star Wars groupies were there. Timothy Zohn was there doing a lovely book signing. Everywhere we turned there was some dude in a costume. Sometimes I wish I really had a camera phone. Well after about an hour or so checking out how to be a maid of honor and leadership books, we were on our way.
We had no clue where we were headed but we drove past Old World Village and I had always wanted to check it out... so that's just what we did! This site shows a few more pictures and gives you a better feel of the thing though. The place was desolate as well as completely creepy. It looked like a bad set on a movie. Oddly enough we did see a few people standing outside a small church (with a cross on top and all) that were all dressed up. But then we became very confused as we looked closer and saw them wearing Yamahas.
Well we found a small pub and crawled down stairs to check it out. We were by far the youngest people there as we looked around at the other 8 people. But the sign said bathrooms for customers only and Crystal just HAD to pee. Anyway, I had been craving a good German beer for a while now. We sat down there and drank our massive beer and even talked with the German bartender. Damn I wish I remembered some German besides how to count to 10 and watermelon. I couldn't even think of how to say airplane! (I'm sure Robert; you'll let me know). The place had so much stuff all over the walls and had a really cool feel to it. It was fun but boy is that German beer strong.
On the way home we just had to make another stop at a liquor store. We take the fifth on that one. But as we are headed to the car we look across the street and see Jack in the Box. Well neither one of us was hungry, but cheesecake always sounds good. So then off we went. We walked over there but the place was locked up. So little me, with my pink beanie on walks up to the kid working the drive thru, puts on my cutest smile and says... "Hi, can we walk up?" Looks to the left... car coming at me... "We just wanted some cheesecake." Flashes cute smile once again. Kid comes back and hands a cheesecake and a fork out the window with his goofy little awkward pimple faced smile right back at me. "Thanks!" Yummmmm... free cheesecake...
So we walk back to the car and yes, Crys has to pee AGAIN. There she goes into the liquor store and back out again with no luck. So she tromps on over to the closing Chinese store and works her magic. Then off to home.
After coming back home we just went for a walk. We sat down and talked forever about so much. Amazing how a little bit of beer... well and a few shots and other things can get us talking. I love you forever my Crysleanntal! I feel a little lighter too... like a small weight has been lifted up a bit. Still don't know where I'm headed, but at least I know I have people beside me.
You think you know one thing... and THEN it all changes again huh? I guess I have to be more susceptible to change. Everything is constant change, that's the only thing consistent in all our lives right? How many times have you heard that cliché? Too many times for me to count.
What's your favorite cliché that someone actually said to you and you wanted to go and kick them in the face? Heh heh, that would be fun.
I'm done... sometimes I just don't know where to turn anymore. I look left and then something hits me on my right. I look right and then I get smacked down again from the left. Deanne says I just need to get away by myself and have time to just think things out and figure out what the heck I want to do with myself. I think there is a lot of value in this advice... but sometimes I think I run from me. It's decision time and I don't want be left standing on the cross roads of life.
Went out with Jackie from work and her hubby last night. We had a lot of fun. :o) Think sarcastic mean me... think a little worse, and you have Jackie. It's awesome.
Best line of the night does go to Jackie though...
Jackie: I have to go to the bathroom.
Me: Well at least wait until some hot guy comes over to talk to me first.
Jackie: I'll pee my pants!

I totally got lost last night and felt like a total retard. Well, it's not that I was lost, but I just couldn't find where I was going! If you know the area around here you would be totally ashamed of me. I knew the place was somewhere around Magnolia. I just couldn't remember if it was between Brookhurst and Magnolia or Beach and Magnolia. These streets are like all 1 mile apart! The worst of it was, I couldn't remember what street the dang place was on... even though I've been there 3 times now in the last 2 weeks! So I had it narrowed down between McFadden, Edinger, and Warner.
It's not like Fountain Valley is that confusing and I grew up right next to the area. I think I ended up driving around in circles for about 25 minutes. I actually had to get out of my car and call information from a pay phone to get the damn address. Yah, the day I forget my cell at home! Crap... I'm losing it! It used to be that we couldn't let my sister Nicole out of the house without me as her navigator... now look at me!
I showed this to my sister Jenny and she gagged... warning, don't open it if you become faint!

Last night's theme: When you bang someone, you have to look them in the eye...
Ha ha....so let me explain that quote up there for all you dirty-minded people. Eck learned from a bunch of Germans us that when you give cheers to someone--you know, tap your beers/wine/drinks to someone, you have to look them in the eye or else you get 7 years bad sex. so, last night when Mary and I were having beers, I told her to remember to look me in the eye and that quote is what she screamed: oh yeah! when you bang someone you have to look them i the eye! haha. funny stuff.
We hung out, played some music, had jamba juice (they have a new chocolate cherry flavor that is great! go try it!). Mary was soo happy because she paid for a 16 oz and they ended up making her a big one anyway. hehe...that's the second time in a row that has happened to her!
Afterwards, we went to a pet store to watch all these puppies play around. i still want a beagle! they are too cute! but damn, there was this poofy little pickanese (spelling?) and it was such a hornball! i told Mary that it was just playing but after a while of humping every dog in there it was just wrong. haha. man, can you imagine what it would be like when it's full grown?! Then we watched Butterfly Effect. it was actually pretty good. i thought though Mary and i would have our hands over our eyes the whole movie from a lot of the opening scenes. but overall it had good things going: the suspense, romance, fear, that knot in your stomach you get when you know something is about to happen. yeah, so i recommend you all to watch it.
The night ended at Joe's Crab Shack. Brandon is a waiter there so we went to bug him and got some beers and appetizers. When we were paying the bill the bartender girl brought us two big ole' glasses of kamikaze. haha...it was so much that we didn't know if we were supposed to take them as shots or drink 'em. brandon was shaking his head though, because when he got them for us HE knew they were a shot. doesn't matter cuz we drank them down anyway and Mary got her little asian glow going as we left. haha. i felt bed though because she had an hour and a half drive home. i got a call from her like at 1:30am and i talked her the rest of the way home. its hard to drive that far when you have been up since 5:30am, huh Mary?
