Changing the Subject

So... I don't really want to talk about day 3 of the mission. If you want to keep up with it, see Boot Captain's page. Instead let's talk about what a dork I am...

Yes, my diet has sucked lately. This morning I stopped to get a bagel sandwich. I didn't really eat well last night, so I thought starting the day with lunch would rock. I also had to get some coffee too while I was there. So I get back into my car and start driving off to work from the bagel shop. There I am... sitting at the first light I come to with a strange feeling... hmmmm... do I hear honking? I glance around my car... uh oh... look in my rear view mirror and see the nice lady behind me pointing upward. Doh! Jackass Tricia left her nice sandwich on the roof of her car! I jump out grab it and go on my merry little way. Wow... I'm cool.

Two Days in a Row?!

Amazingly enough I got out of bed a second time. Although I tossed and turned all night dreaming about the Wine Festival and how I wasn't prepared and it got a jump on me... I managed to get out of bed. This morning it was cold! But my head was nice and warm because I remembered to put my helmet on. Go me. Nothing really to comment on today... except I haven't worked on my diet/grocery store thing yet. Filled myself up with coffee! Yessss....

P.S. Boot Captain is also blogging our mission!

Operation Double Chin Be-Gone

Day one: I'm in my cozy room under my cozy quilt. It is still dark outside. Then it comes! Heidi knocks on my door and at that hour morning with a disgusting amount of energy. Operation Double Chin Be-Gone starts today! I think I groaned and barely moved and muttered... "tomorrow." She gave me a hard time and left my room. Well I thought it was over, until she came back! With a lot of whining, I told her I would go if she got me clothes. Here I am... complaining that my eyes didn't even work yet, trying to put warm-ups, a jersey, and shoes on. It worked! She got me out on my bike at 6:30am! Damn!

We roll out, me still half awake and without vision. I was too lazy to put on my glasses or contacts. Then I noticed that my head was cold... yah... I forgot to put on my helmet! Who forgets their helmet? Day one was good... my boot captain even treated me to Jamba Juice. Oh the little things that get you up in the morning. Diet change is my next feat! Well... if I can remember where the grocery store is!

Still Shakin!

Well kids, I made it alive! :o) Here is the video. I should have one more soon. If you look closely, you will see a woman with a big black camera in the back ground. She has me on tape too and is mailing me some photos and another video. She told me that she's putting it on their personal tape because they think it's way too funny not to. My scream is nuts! Dinh took the video and is comentary. Enjoy!

If you are interested in the other jumpers...

My Will?

Ok tomorrow I will be doing THIS! So please listen to the following:

I, Tricia D. Mathis, a resident and citizen of Long Beach, California, being of crazy mind and hot body, do hereby make, publish and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made.

Ok enough with all that fancy language... here are my top items to will away:

To my sisters Nicole and Jenny, you are already on my life insurance policies and 401K junk, so go ahead and split it all to pay for the funeral. I don't think I want to be buried, and if I die bungee jumping, it won't be pretty. Ask Heidi for details about the funeral services. She'll know what I like.

To my lovely roommate Heidi, you can have my bike, and if you don't want it, give it to Deanne. If you do want it, give her yours. :o) Let's see... you also can have everything in my savings account. Pay off your car and use it for bills. Then take everything in my checking account (let rent clear first) and buy a round of drinks at the corner bar. Tip well. Finally take an extra portion of ashes and travel to Australia and scatter them somewhere pretty.

To my mom, take your microwave back.

To Alex and Deanne, you can take my laptop and my TV since you helped me pick them out!

To Megan, you can have my car. I don't know what you'd do with it... but take it.

To all my friends I have "borrowed" from... go ahead... take it back. It's not like I'm going to be buried with it.

I think that's all my main items. Interesting when you look at everything you own in life and realize it can fit in the back of a truck. I'm glad I have friends like you because I'm sure I couldn't fit all the love you give me in my truck too! Haha! GAG!

Unattainable

Why am I always drawn to the unattainable? I'm always searching and looking, but for what? Really? I know unhappiness is the only thing waiting. Is it really only about the journey? Is it worth your time to experience the unattainable knowing it will all come down in a burning crash of death?

Yah I know I'm being a little over dramatic.
