I'm back! So soon I know... not even time to miss me yet. I just wanted to share a story.

Last night I hit the gym and took a spin class. Ok... basically it is hell on one stationary wheel. It was only my third spin class ever, and boy... it kicks my bikie tighties! 52 minutes of drills and continuous movement. As the class was coming close to an end, both my feet were asleep (I have a problem with liking my shoes super tight when I ride), my lungs were bursting for air, and my calves were going to either cramp up or fall off.
Then the torturer (aka instructor) had us do sprints at a high tension. We were to push for 30 seconds on and then 30 seconds off for three sets. 30 seconds doesn't sound like much... but when my legs are like jelly and I am up out of the saddle pushing, I felt like I had nothing left to give.
All of a sudden, images of friends came to mind, those people in my life that are HIV positive without a choice but to push on. No longer was I pushing with my jelly legs, but I started pushing on with my heart.
Last night I left the gym with tears in my eyes. I didn't give up, I couldn't give up. Neither we as a community give up or look away from this deadly disease. Please help me fight AIDS/HIV and donate today.
My adventure starts! Although a little later than usual, I have registered for AIDS/LifeCycle 7 once again. Most of you know it's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. But little do you know that today marks the start of my blogging and updating all my supporters.
For the most part I will try to keep my stories light and cheery. Everyone needs a good laugh on a Monday morning... I mean the thought of me, Tricia, out on the road doing crazy stuff? Why not?!
This ride marks my 3rd ride. I keep telling myself that 3rd time's the charm. This year I'm going to train harder, fundraise harder, and educate harder.
There is still a lot to conquer this year and I hope you will enjoy my saga, for these are the Days of Tricia's Ride... HA! Seriously, please read through the emails I will be sending out. They will include a lot of fun stories, heart warming tales, and inspirational accounts. Please forward to your friends and family. Together we can END AIDS.
Until my next post! Keep rollin'!
Tricia
P.S. Lookie there... there's a donation link at the bottom of this email! ;o)
