Warm beer, Lousy Food, Poor Service

Sorry world for my silence. lets bring u all up to speed.
so i quit at virgin last friday, and i wastn escorted out by security. i was however given a "student pack" by my co workers, which contained a bag of doritos and about 9 bottles of totally random beer, including REBEL beer which has a picture of che on the front.....which will never be tasted by anyone. but suggest slogan "rebel beer...get in groveara".

with recent events in london, i wasnt keen on heading thru the city centre on public transport to get the airport...i just thought that i didnt want to push my luck. but my luck was severally push as was my patients when i got heathrow. i was on standby for any flight going to the west coast. first attempt was the direct to SFO. as i waited to hear my fate i noticed that there was a crap load of standby passangers, and one of them said "ive been trying to get to NYC for the past 3 days" i knew it was going to be along day. so as thought, i didnt get on the flight. no worries, ill try the first LA flight...40 over booked do you say? dammmmm. ok 2nd LA flight, last chance, its gonna get me in at 7pm at night, but at least ill be in america. so this flight was supposed to leave at 3pm..so it 2.45 i was still at the gate waiting to see if i was on. so when the called my name and said i was on the jump seat, i was more relived that i was giong somewhere than relalising id be spending the next 11hrs resting my head against the emergeny exit, sitting on a seat slanting forward and rather pointy. so i begin to run for the gate, only to be told that i need to be escorted thru security, so back to check in...and now im spriting with over packed BACKPACK on my back...now lets just take a visual. london on terror alert brown (red dwarf ref) see a stressed looking guy running around the airport with a BACKPACK....i still dont know how i didnt get shot at. anyway, got to the gate and was usherd down the back of the plane where i met steve, a kiwi fligh attendent for BA and was also hitching a ride, also whos gf was the first officer. after take off we were moved outside the cockpit and try to get some sleep...but that wasnt gonna happened. so we spent the enxt 11 hrs talking about the current world rugby climate and pretending like we were supposed to be at the upper class bar.

i landed in LA and ran from term 1 to term 7 to try and get on a united flight to SFO, which i assumed were every half hr. boy was i wrong. there was the 10.10pm and my chances to get on were 20-80. so i call alex and hes says that mum and dad found this out and bought me a ticket on south west that was leaving at 9......u mean like 5mins ago.....yeah. so united was my only chance or i would have to be sleeping in the airport. let me remind u that i had been awake for almost 30hrs and i was stressed, so i wasnt feeling well, and even when i was told i was on the flight at 10.09, i couldnt relax. i passed in out of contiousnus on the flight, never sure if i was on plane or jsut dreaming. i landed at midnight to be greated by alex and dee and promptly slept for 16hrs.

so thats my adventure...god i hate staff travel. but i dont pay for it so i shouldnt complain.

so pretty much all ive done since i have been here is buy some cool shirts, a kick ass leather jacket and plane for alexs bday this saturday. its an english pub theme. so we got a bunch of random english beers, a dart board, ploughmans, fish and chips, cricket and rugby on tv and a pokie in the corner of the room. thing is its 30c....so something doesnt feel right. we are also having a pub quiz with teams....so the i will be combining all my previous team names to become "the 18th century anal space monkeys and thier retard cousin slappy mcgee the lovable alcoholic hamster". i think we are front runners.

sunday is going to be a early hung over start tho. we have to drive to the airport to pick up ashley from tapei. im not going to be a happy bunny lol. anyway she is here for 5days then is off to portland before meeting up with dan, kev an i on the 7th in canada. but in her breif stay here i plan to go to berkeley then on to the city, stay the night and do haight and ashbury, alcatraz, and lombard st. if she was here longer wed also do santa cruz, but its all about time.

anyway, i think thats enough information to keep all you people salivating.

and remember....breathe in.....and out.....breathe in....and out

It The Final Countdown

GOT TO LOVE THAT SONG! sorry, this post does have a direction. i have entered my last 10days of employment at virgin....204hr to be exact. and the last 3month have surprizingly flown by.

so what have i learnt. well as of the 22nd, no one can blame me for screwing up their ticket, but i can tell you who issued their ticket just by looking at it. whatelse...oh the movie "office space" is scarly acurate to life in an office. i have had many fights with the printer "pc load error? what the F%@k is pc load error!". i dont know, the positives of working here that it looks fantastic on my CV, which up until now was looking rather "inflated". and cus of my sterling work over the past few month i have signed a three year deal that should see me through uni, so i wil have steady income to blow during the 2nd half of my 4month summer holidays. HA....i laughed at you all!

im not to sure what to write here. alot has happened in my world and the greater world in general sincemy last post. i also have a feeling that no one is gonna read this as everyone is away somewhere....where is everone?

well if i get more than 3comments...i willl do a little more indepth update. or actually write something of interest.
